The ‘Listen to Your Body’ Waiver

Overview

By joining sessions, you agree that Erica Gittens (Facilitator/Teacher) is not liable for any personal injuries (physical or mental) for yourself or any other individuals (ie. children, family, partners, friends, etc.) joining you this session. Erica's intention is to guide you through practices you can choose to participate in toward your self-care and wellness.

Medical Referral

Please advise your physician and/or other health care professional before starting sessions. These sessions are designed for educational purposes and should not replace and/or substitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any questions or concerns about your health you should always consult with a physician or other health-care practitioner.

Listen to Your Body

Each day on the mat, seated in meditation, or in reflection is different. Please listen to and honour your body’s cues if experiencing any discomfort or symptoms of anxiety. It is recommended that you ease back on a pose or practice and move into a shape or space that is safe and comfortable for you. If experiencing sharp or continuous pain from going too deep into a pose (overextending) or due to ignoring important teacher cues, please ease back.

Accommodations

You are welcome to share any relevant health information about yourself prior to the beginning of class publicly or using the chat option set to private to message Erica directly. This will allow her to better accommodate you with suggested modifications to poses during your session.
